TOTAL NIGHTMARE

I spent three days trying to get the service. I already had Tracfone service on my phone. I spent hours on the phone with customer service. They could not accomplish the transfer. Now I can't use the phone. They did something to it, and now my Tracfone service doesn't work and I have no phone. The phone is ruined and useless. I can see from other reviews that I am not the first one they did this to. BUYER BEWARE. Now I am having to fight to get a refund for the three months of service I prepaid for.

International mint service didn’t work…

International mint service didn’t work at all…… In Europe, I called them before leaving their rep told me to buy international roaming credit ,they claimed I used part of it .the phone never worked all tho it said it picked up local company….. they misrepresented every question….

Don’t get Mint

Service is good, but since joining I get spam texts and calls every day. I’ve been using a cell phone for almost 30 years and never once got a spam text and the spam calls were rare. I deeply regret joining Mint Mobile.

Beware of easy cancellation…

Cancelled service within 24 hours of sign up due to poor reception. Had to call to do so. Was told all set with BYOD (no equipment to return). No mention to request a refund by rep or on cancellation notice. Website says 10 days for refund process. Called back 10 days later when no refund processed and finally told I had to request a refund At that point it was past the refund request date. They advised my refund was denied. Very misleading easy cancellation promise. Disputing charge with credit card company. Would never use or recommend Mint Mobile.

Knowingly sold me bad signal

We bought two new phones and bought an year's plan from Mint only to find out that we only get 2G service - which is useless.
Mint should not have lied that my location has proper service

Awful customer support, awful service

If I could give this service a zero I would. They were suppose to give me a code said they never had it, when they did. I got locked out of my phone never got to use service. Now I am locked out of my phone and can't use it for any provider! This all happened because I was just trying to port my number now I can't use my phone when I prepaid for service plan.

Absolutely horrible service

Absolutely horrible service, misinformation and cost me money. Ordered a new phone and renewed service only to find they cannot transfer the same number(which worked for the previous year ok). I would avoid and go anywhere else. Phone/data service is shoddy as much as the customer service dept is. Thanks for the autoreply...

Too troublesome and poor service to recommend.

Very difficult to switch carriers. Representatives are poorly trained, waste hours "helping" before they give up by sending a new sim card, which also does not work. RUN!!!!.

Terrible customer service

Response to Mint: I did call and spent about 2 hours on and off the phone with you yesterday. I spoke to 4 representatives (one hung up on me and refused to transfer me to their supervisor) and eventually 1 supervisor. You had many opportunities to make this right. You didn’t.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They made a mistake on my account which resulted in me being overcharged for service to one line and somehow disconnected service to another line. Instead of fixing THIER mistake, they tell me the only way to fix it would be to charge me again. Really!? They provided zero reasonable solutions to fix their mistake. Would not recommend this service to anyone.

wont give refund if calling doesnt work

work for few months then i stopped getting calls and lost the ability to make calls and although a can make calls with other service providers, they blamed it on my phone and said they wouldnt refund me

How easy is it to get a hold of customer service at Mint Mobile?

The wait times on chat and phone support are not great, but not as bad as some companies. My problem was more about the quality of the support. Chat support is weaker with representatives who seemed rushed and eager to move on as opposed to eager to help you. Phone support seemed slightly better in this regard but still functions like any other international automated system. Clumsy and frustrating. Some very heavy accents. Barely effective.

They will answer phone new operators all the time and unfortunately operators, supervisors have been out of the country who give a new complaint number plus supervisor say they can't help!, sorry and there's no phone number for refund department but they decide

Are there other similar companies to Mint Mobile that are less expensive or better?

Yes us mobile is better if u can use CDMA type phone on the Verizon system it is faster although it is nothing to jump up and down about it is better.

Is Mint Mobile a scam or a legit company?

In my experiences the company is a scam my data from very beginning was. 5 to 1.5 Maxx mbps non existant just awful so yes it is a scam.
